1/2 block Extra Firm Tofu
2 T soy sauce
1 1/2 T maple syrup
1 T of olive oil
1 T nutritional yeast
1 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp onion powder
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Slice tofu into strips, not too thin and not too thick and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, maple syrup, olive oil, nutritional yeast, liquid smoke and onion powder.
Place Extra Firm Tofu slices in a baking dish, do not over lap. Pour soy sauce mixture over Tofu slices and allow to marinate for 10 minutes.
Place tofu slices on a lightly greased baking stone or parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes until Tofu is crispy.
Serve on toasted homemade bread with Vegenaise and topped with lettuce and tomatoes.
