Southwest Black Bean Burger
These Southwest Black Bean Burgers are full-bodied and
full of flavor. Topped with our vegan pepper jack cheese and homemade salsa, Eureka Southwest Black Bean Burgers will stimulate your taste buds and satisfy your tummy.

1/2 cup Chikkin flavored seitan, ground
1 can black beans, rinsed
1 small onion, diced
1 cup corn
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and diced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp dark vegetable bouillon
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp olive oil + some for pan frying
In a large bowl combine, ground Chikkin, black beans, onion, corn, jalapeno peppers, red bell peppers, minced garlic, bouillon, cayenne pepper, chili powder, white pepper, salt and olive oil. Hand mash until well blended, then form into patties and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with another sheet of parchment and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
In a skillet heat up a tablespoon of olive oil on medium heat. When oil is hot carefully place patties into the skillet and cook until golden and crispy on both sides.
Serve with Eureka's Salsa and Pepper Jacked cheeze.
This recipe can be made without Seitan, however the texture will not be the same.
It will however, still be one tasty burger!
